This is a headset with built in soundcard, it is capable of plug in and used right away. Audio is working perfectly, but microphone did not register any sound. Headset Microphone sound is at 0.

We basically don't have this option. Thank you. Exact same issue here. The levels are so low that any application that uses the Windows controlled method of accessing the microphone e. Kingston rightly point out that this is not an issue with the hardware as applications such as TeamSpeak work just fine, it's the Windows control that is causing the problem.

In reply to Sbow's post on October 1, I have the device. It is locked there. I saw the 0db on the levels tab, but I went back to WIndows 7 and Windows 8 and it is the same behavior. I will try with just USB. For the 0db I suggest contacting Kingston as this doesn't appear to be a Windows issue. The USB volume up and down for microphone seemed to be working for me as levels went up and down.
So I was having the exact same issue. Ran the troubleshooter and everything, but then I discovered: on the side of the USB dongle there is a hardware switch for 'mute' and it was on.
